If I was in my bedroom during an earthquake, I would pick up my cat who is likely to be sleeping on my bed, and stand in my doorway until the earthquake stops. When the earthquake is over, I would check on my family and other animals, always staying aware of aftershocks. Once I know that everybody is okay, I would search the house for any hazards I need to be aware of. If there is major damage, the gas, water and electricity will need to be turned off. Once everyone and everything in my house is sorted, I would go see if my elderly neighbors need any help.

These are: Ancient New Zealand Chatham Islands and Making Music with the Christchrch Symphony Orchaestra. We took part in audioconferences with professionals on both of these subjects.
